A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK INFRASTRUCTURE FUND AND PLACING HIGH
PRIORITY ON MAINTAINING AND IMPROVING THE
CITY'S INFRASTRUCTURE.

WHEREAS, the public infrastructure throughout the City of Little Rock is of vital
importance to all citizens of the City; and
WHEREAS, all components of the infrastructure -- streets, sidewalks, storm drainage
structures, parks, public buildings, traffic signals and other capital equipment necessary to the
delivery of essential City services; and
WHEREAS, both quality maintenance and systematic improvement of the public
infrastructure are of high priority for the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Quality public infrastructure is established as a critical priority for the
City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is directed to prepare a long term Public Infrastructure
and Maintenance and Improvement Plan.
SECTION 3. A special Infrastructure Improvement Fund is hereby established and the
City Manager is directed to develop a revenue strategy to implement a quality Infrastructure
Improvement Program as part of the 1996 -97 City of Little Rock budget.
