WHEREAS, Fleet Services has an annual contract to remanufacture Allison Transmissions, and WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidder to respond to a competitive bid to provide this service was United Engines, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept a bid from United Engines for an amount not to exceed $23,000, to provide remanufactured Allison Transmissions. Section 2. They were the only bidder to respond to the bid as required. American Shifty submitted an incomplete bid failing to provide warranty service as they are not a certified Allison Dealer as required by the bid. It is further recommended that this contract be renewed for one additional year with City Managers approval.
