A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD
CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF A FIRE
HOSE FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND
BODY ARMOR FOR THE POLICE
DEPARTICENT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to Clement Supply of Little Rock, Arkansas
in an amount not to exceed $21,072 for the purchase of fire
hoses for the Fire Department.
SECTION 2. Funds are available for this purpose in account
number 210 - 340 - 0267 -7119.
SECTION 3. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to R &R Uniform of North Little Rock,
Arkansas in an amount not to exceed $24,925 for the purchase of
body armor for the police department.
SECTION 4. Funds are available for this purpose in account
number 100 - 350 - 5200 -2020.
SECTION 5. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.

Clement Safety. Davids was disqualified as their sample showed the following
defects:
1. The inner liner showed separation
2. The filler liner bled through the inside jacket
3. The inside jacket doesn't fit properly inside the inner
jacket.

As all of these are considered safety issues, Davids hose has been determined
non - responsive to the functional specification of the bid.
