4 A RESOLUTION TO REQUIRE ALL BOARDS,
5 COMIIISSIONS, AGENCIES, AUTHORITIES, OR OTHER
6 PUBLIC BODIES THAT REQUEST FUNDS FROM THE CITY
7 OF LITTLE ROCK TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CITY
8 BUDGET PROCESS AND TO COOPERATE WITH THE CITY
9 MANAGER WHEN REQUESTED TO PROVIDE NECESSARY
10 INFORMATION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

13 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock funds in total, or in
14 part, numerous boards, commissions, authorities, agencies and
15 other bodies that provide public services to the citizens of the
16 City; and
17 WHEREAS, it is important that the City Manager have access
18 to annual requests by these entities well in advance of the time
19 that a budget is presented to the Board of Directors so that
20 appropriate considerations and recommendations can be made of
21 whether to fund these agencies requests, how to fund these
22 requests and, if necessary, what other City departments or
23 programs need to be cut in order to fund these requests.
24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
25 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
26 SECTION 1. All boards, commissions, authorities, agencies
27 or other public bodies that request funds from the General Fund
28 and budget of the City of Little Rock shall, in a time and
29 manner determined by the City Manager, submit budget requests to
30 the City so these matters can be properly considered as a part
31 of the City's annual budget process.
32 SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to develop and
33 distribute appropriate guidelines and administrative procedures
34 to these boards, commissions, authorities, agencies, or other
35 public bodies, to explain the City's budget policies and
36, procedures.
