A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO RENEW THE CONTRACT WITH
DELTA DENTAL PLAN OF ARKANSAS TO
PROVIDE DENTAL INSURANCE COVERAGE
FOR CITY OF LITTLE ROCK EMPLOYEES
FOR A TWELVE MONTH PERIOD BEGINNING
JANUARY 1, 1995.
WHEREAS, Delta Dental Plan of Arkansas has provided dental
insurance coverage to City of Little Rock employees since the
inception of the dental plan in 1985; and
WHEREAS, Delta Dental submitted a renewal proposal for
coverage effective January 1, 1995; and
WHEREAS, after review by staff and the City's independent
consultant it is recommend that the contract be renewed based on
Delta Dental's aggressive rating and history of service; and
WHEREAS, this renewal will represent the fourth year since
issuance of a Request for Proposal in 1991.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to renew
the contract with Delta Dental Plan of Arkansas for dental
insurance coverage for City employees for a twelve month period
beginning January 1, 1995.
