A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT
OF A CULTURAL /ENTERTAINMENT FACILITY
MASTER PLAN FOR THE RIVERFRONT AREA OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.

WHEREAS, the Future Little Rock study revealed that a
cultural /entertainment district was needed for the riverfront
area; and
WHEREAS, the Downtown Partnership, the City's Advertising
and Promotion Commission and the Quapaw Quarter Association have
spent many hours working together to create such a district;
and
WHEREAS, a tremendous amount of money has been committed to
this effort, both private and public; and
WHEREAS, the Master Plan must be completed before any other
projects are considered.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock supports the development of a Cultural /Entertainment
Facility Master Plan for the riverfront area of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas.
