A RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO COMPLETE
THE REMAINING 18 NEIGHBORHOOD STREET
PROJECTS FROM THE 1987 CAPITAL
IIPROVEI4ENT BOND ISSUE, WITH THE
EXCEPTION OF JIMERSON CREEK; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City passed a capital improvement bond issue
in 1987 to accomplish certain capital projects; and
WHEREAS, 18 neighborhood street projects remain to be done
on this bond issue because of insufficient funds, or for other
reasons including an initiated ordinance that precludes the use
of public monies to build a motor vehicle bridge at Jimerson
Creek; and
WHEREAS, the City is considering a refunding bond issue
that would allow other capital improvements of a public nature.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors states its intent to fund
the remaining 18 neighborhood street projects on attached
Exhibit "A" from the 1987 capital improvement bond issue,
provided that the Jimerson Creek issue, which was the subject of
an initiated ordinance, is not to be completed.
