A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY 420
MANAGER TO ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A
CONTRACT FOR HYDRO SEEDING FOR
WHEREAS, a requirement of our landfill closure permit is to
prevent migration of soil from the site; and
WHEREAS, hydro seeding is a method of stabilizing steep
ditch embankments along the perimeter of the Old Landfill by
spraying grass seed, fertilizer and straw with an asphalt tack
coat that prevents erosion of the slopes and silt buildup while
the grass germinates.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to Lambert Construction of Little Rock,
Arkansas, the low bidder meeting specifications, in an amount
not to exceed $56,100 for hydro seeding for closure of the Old
Landfill.
SECTION 2. Funds are available for this purpose in the
Waste Revenue Bond Fund account.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
