• RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
• CONTRACT TO PROVIDE YARDWASTE PROCESSING AND
COMPOSTING SERVICES TO THE CITY FOR SEVEN YEARS WITH
INTERSTATE LANDSCAPING, INC. AND AMERICAN COMPOSTING,
INC.

WHEREAS, on February 2, 1994, proposals were received by the Pulaski County
Regional Solid Waste Management District (the District) to process and compost
yardwaste at a site located within the City's landfill; and
WHEREAS, a selection committee established by the District evaluated the
proposals received and recommended to the City the joint proposal from Interstate
Landscaping, Inc. and American Composting, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, city staff concurs with the recommendation from the District; and
WHEREAS, funds are available to pay for the contract in the budget of the Waste
Disposal Revenue Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract
with Interstate Landscaping, Inc. and American Composting, Inc. to provide yardwaste
processing and composting services to the City for a term of seven (7) years.
