A RESOLUTION TO DIRECT THE CITY
MANAGER TO PROVIDE PERIODIC REPORTS
AND ACCOUNTINGS OF THE VALUE OF AND
EXPENDITURES FOR FUTURE- LITTLE ROCK
PROPOSALS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the citizens of Little Rock adopted a one -half
cent sales and use tax to fund various proposals suggested by
the Future - Little Rock Steering Committee and the City Board of
Directors; and
WHEREAS, the Board established numerous task forces to
review proposals and make recommendations on how to spend these
funds; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has accepted these
proposals and is now working to implement as many of them as
possible in the near future; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors recognizes the need to
maintain accountability to assure that the recommended programs
are working, that new programs are established as needed, and
that completed or less successful programs are modified as
needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is directed to develop and
implement a system for measuring the effectiveness of the
various proposals being funded with monies from the
Future - Little Rock one -half cent sales and use tax, and to
report the findings of this system to the Board of Directors on
at least a semiannual basis.
SECTION 2. The system developed by the City Manager is to
include, where appropriate, statistical data, apocryphal
information provided by citizens comments or through public
hearings, departmental reports and information, and any other

information or exhibits necessary to prov de the Board with a
full understanding of the program, its aims, its mission, and
