A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A
CONTRACT FOR ORNAMENTAL STREET
LIGHTING FOR CAPITOL AVENUE BETWEEN
FERRY AND COMMERCE STREETS, A 1988
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BOND PROJECT.

WHEREAS, Resolution 8,699 (May 5, 1992), allocated $400,000
from the 1988 Capital Improvement Bond Fund for the Capitol Avenue
Streetscape Master Plan and awarded a contract to McClelland
Consulting Engineers for design, engineering, specifications and
construction observation for the master plan; and
WHEREAS, working drawings and project manual are now
complete for staff review; and
WHEREAS, the City has submitted competitive bids to provide
a contract for street light poles and fixtures; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder in this competitive bidding process
has been recommended to receive this award.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract with Lighting & Electrical Sales of Little Rock,
Arkansas, in an amount not to exceed $57,892.50, to provide
ornamental street lighting for Capitol Avenue between Ferry and
Commerce Streets.
SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available in account
number 301 - 230 -0250.
