RESOLUTION NO. 9,134
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM
DEED CONVEYING THE CITY'S INTEREST IN
A ONE AND ONE- QUARTER ACRE LOT
LOCATED AT 8924 GARDNER ROAD TO
VICTORY TEMPLE CHURCH OF GOD IN
CHRIST; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City was awarded this property as part of
the "Sin City" complex demolition project; and
WHEREAS, this property is an isolated parcel of land
located one block from the Sin City tract of land; and
WHEREAS, the City has no public purpose to use the
property at this time; and
WHEREAS, the City advertised the property for bid on
January 28, 1994; and
WHEREAS, Victory Temple Church of God in Christ placed
the only bid on the property for the sum of $13,500; and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to convey its
interest in the property and thereby recoup its expenses for
demolition and removal of four structures formerly located
thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to execute a quitclaim deed to convey the City's interest in
property located at 8924 Gardner Road to Victory Temple Church
of God in Christ, for $13,500.
SECTION 2. Proceeds from the sale of this property are to
be deposited in the City's demolition account number
210- 215 - 0190 -5026.
