A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT
WITH TRI -STAR CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
INC., FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
INFRASTRUCTURE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF
AFFORDABLE HOUSING AT PINE HILL
HOMES SUBDIVISION.
WHEREAS, the Board authorized acquisition of Pine Hill
Homes, which is in the John Barrow area off of Walker Street
between 24th and 26th Streets, as part of the 18th Year CDBG
program and;
WHEREAS, $70,000 was allocated in the 19th Year program
to complete engineering and construction of the rest of the
street, water lines, sewer lines, and water retention facility
called for in the approved site plan; and
WHEREAS, the City has submitted competitive bids to
provide site improvement construction; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder in this competitive bidding
process has been recommended to receive this award.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract with Tri -Star Construction Company, Inc. in the amount
of $60,000 ($52,829.85 award plus contingencies) for
construction of infrastructure for development of affordable
housing at Pine Hill Homes subdivision.
