A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A CONTRACT TO
CONSTRUCT A NEW BOX CULVERT ON VICTORY
STREET BETWEEN THIRD AND FOURTH STREETS.

WHEREAS, the existing rubble masonry box culvert under
the east curb lane in the 300 block of Victory Street collapsed
on August 27, 1993, rendering a safety hazard; and
WHEREAS, the City has submitted competitive bids to
provide a contract to repair this drainage structure; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder in this competitive bidding
process has been recommended to receive this award.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract with Harold Davis Construction Co., of Little Rock,
Arkansas, for $122,000 ($106,116 bid amount plus 15%
contingency) to construct a new box culvert on Victory Street
between Third and Fourth Streets.
SECTION 2. Funds are available in Special Project Account
#210- 220 -0141.
