A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
REINSTATEMENT OF COMMISSIONER JOHN
MCDANIEL TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, John McDaniel was appointed to the Planning
Commission in August of 1988, said term expiring November 1, 1994;
and
WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark. Ordinance 14,492 (August 2,
1983) provides that when a member of a board or commission has
missed more than 25% of all regular meetings in one calendar year
or more than 3 consecutive regularly scheduled meetings, then such
person is automatically removed from such position unless, prior
to the next scheduled meeting of the City Board of Directors, the
member submits in writing his desire to remain on the Board of
Commission; and
WHEREAS, Mr. McDaniel has missed 7 of the 27 meetings by
his absence on 7 of the first 18 meetings; and
WHEREAS, Mr. McDaniel has submitted his request in writing
to be reinstated to the Commission, prior to the next meeting of
the Board of Directors.
WHEREAS, the Board finds that Mr. McDaniel should be
reinstated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Commissioner John McDaniel is hereby reinstated
to the Planning Commission to fill out the remainder of his term.
