A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A
CONTRACT FOR LABORATORY ANALYSIS OF
GROUNDWATER SAMPLES DRAWN FROM
MONITORING WELD AT THE NEW SOLID
WASTE FACILITIES.
WHEREAS, the City's permit for construction and operation
of the new solid waste facilities requires that the groundwater in
and around the site be analyzed for various compounds before, and
at intervals during the period of operations; and
WHEREAS, this contract is for the initial analysis prior to
beginning operations; and
WHEREAS, the results will be interpreted and a report
submitted to the Arkansas Department of Pollution Control and
Ecology.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to American Analytical and Technical Services
in an amount not to exceed $46,464.00 ($42,240.00 plus a 10%
contingency), for laboratory analysis of groundwater samples at
