A RESOLUTION APPOINTING T.J. RANEY /LEHNAN
BROTHERS TO SERVE AS THE UNDERWRITER FOR A BOND
REFINANCING FOR HOTEL AND GROSS RECEIPTS TAX
BONDS (LITTLE ROCK CONVENTION CENTER REFUNDING
SERIES 1986 BONDS); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES,.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas (City), in
conjunction with the Advertising and Promotion Commission
(Commission), issued Hotel and Gross Receipts Tax Bonds
(Little Rock Convention Center Refunding Series 1986
Bonds), dated August 15, 1986; and
WHEREAS, the current interest rates make it feasible
to refinance this bond issue and, in the process, save
thousands of dollars of annual payments by the Commission;
and
WHEREAS, after the publication of Requests for
Proposals, and the consideration of the various proposals,
the Commission, by Resolution dated May 19, 1993, requested
the selection of the most responsible and responsive bidder
to be the underwriter for this issue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. T.J. Raney /Lehman Brothers is hereby
appointed as the underwriter for a refunding bond issue of
the Little Rock Convention Center Refunding Series 1986
Bonds dated August 15, 1986.
