APPOINTMErIT OF
ADVERTISING AND
FOR THE REFIR
CENTER BONDS;
PURPOSES.
AUTHORIZING THE
BOND COUNSEL BY THE
PROMOTION COMMISSION
kNCING OF CONVENTION
AND FOR OTHER
WHEREAS, the Advertising and Promotion Commission seeks to
take advantage of the present lowered interest rates; and
WHEREAS, after careful consideration of the options
available to it, it has selected T.J. Rainey and Sons through a
competitive process to prepare refinancing documents; and
WHEREAS, this refinancing can save up to $300,000 per year
for the Commission; and
WHEREAS, in addition to selecting an underwriter it would
was necessary to select bond counsel through a competitive
selection process; and
WHEREAS, this competitive selection process was referred to
the bond counsel board and the Rose Law Firm was selected as the
most qualified firm to handle this issue.
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors hereby accepts the
appointment of the Rose Law Firm as bond counsel in the
refinancing of Convention Center bonds.
