A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD CONTRACTS FOR
THE PURCHASE OF COMPACT SEDANS, MID -SIZE
PICKUP TRUCKS, FULL SIZE PICKUP TRUCKS, A
3/4 TON PICKUP TRUCK, AND A 1 -TON TRUCK
WITH UTILITY BODY FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF
GENERAL SERVICES /FLEE' SERVICES DIVISION.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept
bids and award contracts from qualified bidders for the purchase
of the following for the Department of General Services /Fleet
Services Division:
A. to Little Rock Dodge, in an amount not to exceed
$290,545, a contract for the purchase of 13 compact
sedans, 4 mid -size pickup trucks, and 10 full size
pickup trucks.
B. to Little Rock Dodge in an amount not to exceed
$29,940, a contract to purchase a 3/4 ton pickup
truck and a 1 -ton truck with utility body.

RECOMMENDATION AND DISCUSSION: It is recommended that the low
bid meeting specifications be accepted for each unit. Service
Chevrolet was disqualified on items 1 and 2 for failure to
include in their bid price extended warranty, manuals and floor
mats as called for in specifications. Dick Layton withdrew their
bid on Item 2 because of a pricing error on their part.
