A RESOLUTION APPOINTING THE FIRM OF WILLIAMS &
ANDERSON AND HOLLINGSWORTH, MAYS, WALKER &
BROWN AS CO -BOND COUNSEL FOR A PROPOSED SERIES OF
LANDFILL BOND ISSUES AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN ENGAGEMENT LETTER WITH
THE LAW FIRMS.
WHEREAS, it is necessary to have bond counsel to work with the City to perform legal work
to assure the issuance of a series of proposed landfill bond issues; and
WHEREAS, the City requested proposals from qualified law firms to handle this legal work;
and
WHEREAS, the proposals were reviewed by a selection committee selected in accordance
with City ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the committee has concluded that the law firm of Williams & Anderson
is the most qualified to handle this legal work, and that Hollingsworth, Mays, Walker & Brown
should be co -bond counsel, and a contractual agreement with the firms has been reached.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The law firms of Williams & Anderson and Hollingsworth, Mays, Walker &
Brown are appointed to act as co -bond counsel to the City in connection with a proposed series of
landfill bond issues.
SECTION 2: The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the Letter of Engagement
with the Williams & Anderson and Hollingsworth, Mays, Walker & Brown law firms.
