A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH MCCLK[A.AND
CONSULTING ENGINEERS, INC. TO PERFORM A
COMPREHENSIVE SITE ASSESSMENT (CSA) OF THE
J. E. DAVIS FUEL SITE.
WHEREAS, Little Rock, AR., Resolution Number 8,590 (October
151 1991) authorized an engineering services contract with
McClelland Consulting Engineers, Inc. to bring various city
underground fuel storage tanks in compliance with Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Pollution Control
and Ecology (PC &E) requirements; and
WHEREAS, from sample assessment results and /or assessment
report of the underground strorage tank system closure conducted,
PC &E has directed that a Comprehensive Site Assessment be
performed at the J. E. Davis fuel site to determine the total
extent and degree of soil and groundwater contamination pursuant
to Federal Regulation (40 CFR 280.65); and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: Pursuant to Section 2 -243 of the Little Rock
Code of Ordinances, the City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract with McClelland Consulting Engineers, Inc. in the amount
of $53,500 to perform a Comprehensive Site Assessment (CSA) of the
J. E. Davis Fuel Site.
SECTION 2. Funds for this project are available in Account
No. 210 - 214 -0215.
