1 � RESOLUTION NO. 8,709"' 312 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ALLOCATE 1988 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BOND FONDS FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF 36TH STREET FROM JOHN BARROW ROAD TO ASHER AVENUE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A CONTRACT TO JOYNER -FORD 6 BURKE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF TH8 36TH STREET PROJECT. WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance Number 15,473 and 15,499 appropriated $19,675,000 for street and drainage improvements; and WHEREAS, this project will reconstruct 36th Street from John Barrow to Asher Avenue with new concrete curb and gutter and underground storm drains. NOW THffitEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to allocate $1,133,199.45 from the 1988 Capital Improvement Bond Fund account to Account Number 301 - 220 -0055 for the reconstruction of 36th Street from John Barrow Road to Asher Avenue. SECTION 2: The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept bids and award a contract to Joyner -Ford & Burke Construction Company in an amount not to exceed $1,133,199.45 for reconstruction of the 36th Street project.
