WHEREAS, a local cooperation agreement with the Corps of
Engineers requires the City of Little Rock to be responsible for
utility relocations; and
WHEREAS, this relocation was part of the construction
necessary to relocate a water line that conflicted with channel
improvements along Rock Creek; and
WHEREAS, the City has an official policy concerning the
costs of certain relocations as set forth in Little Rock, Arkansas,
Resolution Number 7,487.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to
reimburse Little Rock Water Works $132,000 for the relocation of a
8" and 12" water line on the Fourche Creek Project, Phase IV.
SECTION 2: Said funds are available in Account No.
499 -220 -8665.

Little Rock Municipal Water Works received bids for the
relocation of an 8 inch waterline and a 12 inch water line
as part of the Fourche Project. The relocation costs of
these two lines is reimbursable since the lines are located
within Water Works owned easements. The cost of the
relocations is $100,183 plus $6,000 for engineering and
administrative expense, for a total cost of $106,183.
I request your approval to forward this to the Board of
Directors for their approval.
