RESOLUTION NO. 8,575
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CHANGE ORDER
FOR A VERTICAL CONTROL CORRECTION AND
DATA CONVERSION SERVICES CONTRACT FOR THE
PULASKI AREA GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
SYSTEMS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 8,405 (November
20, 1990) authorized entry into a contract with Greenhorne and
O'Mara in an amount not to exceed $821,367 for data conversion
services and system support for the Pulaski Area Geographic
Information System ("PAGIS "); and
WHEREAS, the accuracy of Greenhorne and O'Mara's work is is
dependent upon the accuracy of contour data work done by another
entity pursuant to another contract; and
WHEREAS, upon completion of that other contract it was
determined that contour data obtained by the City in 1990 as a
part of a separate contract for photogrammetric services
engineering information did not meet the standard necessary to
meet the City's accuracy standards; and
WHEREAS, it has been necessary to negotiate a new contract
with Greenhorne and O'Mara to correct this information and the
additional cost for this work is $108,500; and
WHEREAS, the City will pay sixty (60) percent of this
increase for a total City expenditure for this work not to
exceed $886,467.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contact in conjunction with the Little Rock Municipal Water
Works and the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Committee that would
request a change order in an amount not to exceed $65,100 for
work to be performed by Greenhorne and O'Mara.

SECTION 2: The funds are available for this in Accounts
No. 210- 220 -8679, 499 - 220 -8687, and 210 - 220 -0092.
SECTION 3: Despite entry into this contract the City
reserves all legal rights to such redress against appropriate
parties for the quality of work that has necessitated this
change order.
