RESOLUTION NO. 8,566
A RESOLUTION INVITING THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE
OF MUNICIPAL LAW OFFICERS TO LITTLE ROCK FOR
ITS 1994 ANNUAL CONVENTION AND AGREEING TO
ASSIST WITH THE CONVENTION.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, is proud
of its convention facilities and its ability to provide first
rate convention accommodations and activities; and
WHEREAS, the National Institute of Municipal LAW
Officers ( "NIMLO ") is now accepting bids for the 1994 Annual
Conference; and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is an excellent place
for such a convention because in addition to warm hospitality
and wonderful facilities, the City also showcases a number of
unique government initiatives to revitalize economic
development, rehabilitate residential housing, and provide for
the welfare of children and youth; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock endorses the application to bring the NIMLO convention
to Little Rock,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, supports the bid proposal of the
Advertising and Promotion Commission and the commitments made
within that bid for the 1994 NIMLO Annual Conference.
