A RESOLUTION OF THE LITTLE ROCK BOARD
OF DIRECTORS ACCEPTING THE PLANNING
COMMISSION'S RECOMMENDED COURSE OF ACTION
TO STUDY EXISTING CONDITIONS ON 12TH STREET AND
OTHER MATTERS.
WHEREAS, recent zoning and special permit applications
have raised special concerns about the areas along and
around 12th Street; and,
WHEREAS, most of the area has not been carefully reviewed
and examined by the City in over ten years; and,
WHEREAS, group quarters and halfway house living
arrangements are a City -wide issue, not confined to 12th
Street; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended a method
to address the issues raised.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.
SECTION 1. That Staff review and study the group
quarters \halfway house issue for possible ordinance
revisions in the 1992 amendment package.
SECTION 2. That the plans addressing the 12th Street
corridor, specifically the Oak Forest, Stephens and
Central High neighborhood plans, be reexamined to develop
a plan addressing the current conditions and needs of the
areas on and around 12th Street.
