A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXTEND THE CONTRACT WITH EXPLOYER'S REINSURAI
CORPORATION TO PROVIDE EXCESS COVERAGE FOR
THE CITY'S WORKERS' COMPENSATION PROGRAM FOR
A ONE YEAR PERIOD BEGINNING JULY 1, 1991.

WHEREAS A Request for Proposal was issued in 1990 for
excess coverage to the City's workers' compensation program; and
WHEREAS, Employer's Reinsurance Corporation was selected
based on superior coverage provided; and
WHEREAS, based on the savings represented, the higher
proposed loss limit and the fact that the change in specific
retention has almost no affect on the City's program, staff
recommends renewal of this contract for the second year of the
three year contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to extend
the contract with Employer's Reinsurance Corporation to provide
excess coverage for the City's workers' compensation program for a
one year period beginning July 1, 1991.
