A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO NEGOTIATE CONTRACTS FOR THE SALE OF
PROPERTY, RIGHTS -OF -WAY AND EASEMENTS
TO THE ARKANSAS HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION
DEPARTMENT IN THE 12400 BLOCK OF INTERSTAT
30; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK

WHEREAS, the City owns 47.0 acres in the 12400 block of
I -30 (the Jacuzzi Plant site); and
WHEREAS, the Arkansas Highway Department has plans to widen
and upgrade the Crooked and Otter Creek Bridges on the south
frontage road of I -30 adjacent to the City owned property; and
`SAS, this bridge construction work will require an
additional 0.36 acres of right -of -way and 1.41 acres of temporary
construction easement; and
WHEREAS, the two parcels of fee taking and two temporary
construction easements have been appraised by an independent
appraiser and the fair market value has been established.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to
negotiate contracts for the sale of property, rights -of -way and
easements to the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department in
the 12400 Block of Interstate 30.
SECTION 2: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to execute the necessary documents to convey title to said City
property to the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department.
