Which ordinance having been read the first time on December 15th, and the
second time on December 22nd, 1913, the Amendments presented by the special comaittee
were taken up as follows:.
1. Amend the caption of the ordinance by Inserting after the. words " in the
City of' Little Rock", and before the words " and for the tronsfer of passengers" on th
ninth and tenth lines the follo*,-qg words: " And Pulaski Heights".

members of the council present, being sixteen in number and o1l the ntombc�rs of the
council elect, the rules were susp(,,nded and the amenchaent read the 80cond time, and
then upon motion of Alderman McCain' s. aid maen(bitent was adopted.
2. Amend Section 1) Sun-Division Sixth,(A) 011 the eig),ith lino of the second
page, by inserting after the words 11 on any of its lines In the city limits", and
before the word "provided", the following words*. " as now or may liereafter be fixed,
and Pulaski Heights".
6 Amend Section 2 by striking out after
the words, "this ordinance", on the
first line of said Section, and before the wrds
"shall take effect and
be in full force"
the following words: It being necessary for the

5 Amend Section 11 sub-division Sixth (B) by inserting after the words, "said

the remainder of the term of said frarinhise rights as granted under Ordinance No.

first line of said Section, and before the wrds
"shall take effect and
be in full force"
the following words: It being necessary for the
i.=ediate preservation
of the public
peace, health and safety , and being for the support
and maintenance
of the municipal
government, and in the exercise of its Police
posers, an emergency is
hereby declared
and this ordintnee. It

which proviso is in words as follows: "Provided, however, the City of Little. Rock shall
grant to the Inter-City Terminal Railway Company and the Little Rock, Pine Bluff
F, astern. Traction Company franchises to enter the City of Little Rock over the free

bridge and that said franchises shall ,be accepted by the said companies and the bond
required of them shall be filed as provided therein within sixty days from the pas

members of the council present, being sixteen in number and all of the members of the
council electt the rules were suspended and the amendment read the second time; and
