124711 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 RESOLUTION NO. 12,471 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH METROPOLITAN FIRE EXTINGUISHER OF LITTLE ROCK TO PROVIDE PARTS FOR SELF - CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department furnishes Self - Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) to all uniformed personnel, and WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department has certified personnel who are trained to make repairs on SCBA which allows repairs to be made in house and eliminates the necessity for equipment to be sent to out -of -state vendors for costly repairs and untimely return of equipment, and WHEREAS, pursuant to bid, Metropolitan Fire Extinguisher of Little Rock submitted the most responsible and responsive bid for an annual contract to provide parts for SCBA for the uniformed Fire Department personnel, and WHEREAS, the initial term of the contract will be one (1) year and may be extended for an additional four (4) one (1) year periods; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an annual contract with Metropolitan Fire Extinguisher of Little Rock to provide parts for Self - Contained Breathing Apparatus for all uniformed personnel of the Little Rock Fire Department which may be extended for an additional four (4) one (1) year periods. Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in the general budget. Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
