3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
4 CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO THOUSAND (2,000) 90-
5 GALLON SOLID WASTE CONTAINERS AND ISSUE A ONE -YEAR ANNUAL
6 PURCHASE ORDER FOR ADDITIONAL CARTS, IF NEEDED.; AND FOR
7 OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, Solid Waste Division must periodically purchase new solid waste containers
10 for delivery to new customers, replace stolen carts, replace damaged carts, and meet the
11 demand for additional carts, and
12 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids for the purchase of the containers, and
13 the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting minimum specifications was received from
14 Rehrig- Pacific Company, in the amount of Ninety -three Thousand, Seven Hundred Forty
15 Dollars ($93,740.00).
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
17 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a
19 contract for the purchase of two thousand (2,000) 90- gallon Solid Waste Containers from
20 Rehrig- Pacific Company, for the amount of Ninety -three Thousand, Seven Hundred Forty
21 Dollars ($93,740.00), and to issue a 1 -year annual purchase order for additional carts as
22 needed.
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Account #603110- 60170.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
25 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
26 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shalt not affect the remaining portions of
27 the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or
28 adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All taws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
30 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
31 inconsistency.
