3 A RESOLUTION TO EXTEND THE CONTRACT TERMS OF FOUR COMMUNITY
4 HOUSING DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATIONS FOR OPERATING SUPPORT FOR
5 ONE YEAR IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THE TOTAL OF ONE HUNDRED
6 THOUSAND DOLLARS ($100,000); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention, and
9 youth development programs and services to enhance public safety and community - building; and
10 WHEREAS, the City issued a Request for Proposals, Bid No. 5276, for operating support services
11 for 2005; and
12 WHEREAS, four proposals were selected for contracts not to exceed $25,000 each; and
13 WHEREAS, the RFP authorized two one -year extensions contingent upon satisfactory contract
14 performance and appropriation by the Board of Directors; and
15 WHEREAS, the four contractors have successfully performed and the 2007 City Budget contains
16 a line item in the Future Little Rock 2007 Adopted Budget of $100,000 for community development to
17 fund the second year of these contracts.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
19 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contracts with Black Community
21 Developers, Inc., Central Little Rock CDC, Inc., College Station CDC, Inc., and Central Little Rock CDC,
22 in an amount not to exceed $25,000 each ($100,000 total), such monies having been appropriated in
23 the Future Little Rock 2007 budget, Community Development line item.
24 Section 2. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to
25 be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions
26 of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged
27 invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution.
28 Section 3. Repealer. All resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any
29 provision of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
