12406I RESOLUTION NO. 12,406 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A 4 CONTRACT WITH J. A. RIGGS TRACTOR COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF 5 ONE (1) WASTE HANDLING DOZER; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 6 7 WHEREAS, the Landfill is in need of one (1) Waste Handling Dozer to maintain 8 the its operation, and 9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids for the purchase of the Waste 10 Handling Dozer and the lowest responsible and responsive bid was received from J. A. 11 Riggs Tractor Company in the amount of Four Hundred Ninety -one Thousand, Five 12 Hundred Eighty Dollars ($106,940.96); 13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 14 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 15 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter 16 into a contract with J. A. Riggs for the purchase of one (1) Waste Handling Dozer, for 17 the amount of Four Hundred Ninety -one Thousand, Five Hundred Eighty Dollars 18 ($491,580.00). 19 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Acct. #603 -220- 20 2120 -7040. 21 Section 3. Severabi/ity. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, 22 sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be 23 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the 24 remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the 25 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of 26 the resolution.
