12396RESOLUTION NO. 12,396 E 3 A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR "A STATEMENT OF DESIGN AND PRO - 4 GRAMMING EXPECTATIONS FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY MALL," 5 PRESENTED TO THE MIDTOWN REDEDVELOPMENT ADVISORY BOARD 6 NO. 1 BY THE JAMIESON GROUP, INC.; A STATEMENT OF ENCOUR- 7 AGEMENT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN IMPLEMENTATION METH- S ODOLOGY FOR THESE DESIGN AND PROGRAMMING EXPECTATIONS; 9 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, on October 27, 2006, the Jamieson Group presented the Midtown Redevelopment Advi- 12 sory Board No. 1 ( "Advisory Board ") with a document entitled A Statement of Design and Programming 13 Expectations for the Redevelopment of the University Mall, and 14 WHEREAS, the Advisory Board is working closing with the Department of Planning and Development 15 and the City Attorney to develop overall concepts and plans for the City Board of Directors to consider, 16 and 17 WHEREAS, it is appropriate for the City Board of Directors to express its opinion on the kinds of 18 designs and expectations that should be considered for the area, 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE 20 ROCK, ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, expresses its support for A 22 Statement of Design and Programming Expectations for the Redevelopment of the University Mall. 23 Section 2. The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, in addition to its support for 24 A Statement of Design and Programming Expectations for the Redevelopment of the University Mall, 25 asks the Advisory Group continue to work, even beyond the moratorium, on the identification and sug- 26 gested implementation of design guidelines that the City may wish to approve for this area. 27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, 28 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force 30 and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part 31 of the resolution. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsis- tent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
