RESOLUTION NO. 12,359
3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 RENEW THE CONTRACTS WITH CNA AND TRAVELERS
5 INDEMNITY FOR CITY PROPERTY INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR
6 AN ADDITIONAL YEAR; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City owns a significant number of buildings from which City
9 operations are conducted, and
10 WHEREAS, the City purchases insurance coverage to protect against loss and
11 damage to these buildings, and
12 WHEREAS, the incumbent providers of the various coverages have proposed
13 renewal at reduced premium rates;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
15 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to renew the property insurance
17 coverages for City -owned buildings and facilities, with CNA for Boiler and Machinery
18 coverage, and Travelers Indemnity for Building insurance, for the 12 -month period
19 effective October 1, 2006, with a reduction in premium rate for the City.
20 Section 2. Funds for the cost of this coverage will be included as a line item in
21 the 2007 City budget.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or
23 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not
24 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
26 originally a part of this resolution.

I Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which
2 are in conflict with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of
3 such conflict.
