A RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE 36TH
STREET /BOYLE PARK LEVEE OPERATION
AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL AND
IDENTIFY THE PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT TO HAVE JURISDICTION
OF THE 36TH STREETBOYLE PARK LEVEE
WHEREAS, the Flood Insurance Rate Maps ( "FIRMs ") in Pulaski County, Arkansas are
in the process of being re- issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency,
AND WHEREAS, for the FIRMs to be re- issued, certification of the operation and
maintenance of the 36th Street /Boyle Park levee which is owned by the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas must be obtained per the Code of Federal Regulations (44CFR65.10),
AND WHEREAS, as part of the certification of the operation and maintenance of the
36th Street /Boyle Park levee a City of Little Rock agency must be designated to have
jurisdiction of the levee,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Those parts of the Fourche Bayou Basin Operation and Maintenance
Manual and the Local Cooperation Agreement between the Department of the Army and
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas for Flood Control at Fourche Bayou Basin dated
August 20, 1987 that pertain to the proper operation and maintenance of the 36th
Street /Bole Park levee be officially adopted by the City of Little Rock and be referred to
as the 36t Street /Boyle Park Levee Operation and Maintenance Manual, and
SECTION 2. The Public Works Department is designated as the City department having
jurisdiction of the 36th Street /Boyle Park levee.
SECTION 3. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
adoption.
