RESOLUTION NO. 12351
3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO AN ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE
5 OF FLEET VEHICLE TIRES THROUGH THE ARKANSAS
6 STATE COOPERATIVE PURCHASE CONTRACT; AND FOR
7 OTHER PURPOSES.
9 WHEREAS, it is periodically necessary for the City to purchase equipment for
10 various departments, and to either make these purchases from the state purchase
11 contract pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. § 19 -11 -249 (Michie Repl. 1998), or to advertise for
12 competitive bids and award a contract to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder,
13 and
14 WHEREAS, the City has decided that it is in its best interest to purchase the Fleet
15 Services vehicle tires through the 2006 -2007 Arkansas State Contract #SP -06 -0367, at an
16 estimated annual amount of $200,000.00.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an annual
20 contract for the purchase of Fleet Services vehicle tires through the 2006 -2007 Arkansas
21 State Contract #SP -06 -0367, in the estimated amount of $200,000.00.
22 Section 2. Funds for these purchases are available from Account #600 -360-
23 6030- 6041 - 2162 -02.
24 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
25 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
26 of such inconsistency.

1 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
2 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
3 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
4 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
5 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
6 resolution.
