AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANASAS; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK,ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the zone classification of the following property be and is hereby changed
as indicated:
Z- 6829 -A- Described as PART OF THE NE '/4, NE '/4, SECTION OF 36,T -2 -N
R -14 -W, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS:
BEGINNING AT SW CORNER OF SAID NE 1/4, NE 1/4 ; THENCE NORTH O1

SECTION 3. That the Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force 30 days after the date
of its passage and approval.
SECTION 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph item, sentence,
clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
unconstitutional, such was not originally a part of the ordinance.
SECTION 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
inconsistent, with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.

On behalf of our client, Arkansas Teacher Retirement System ( "ATRS "), we would like
to submit comments on the above referenced zoning applications. AIRS (through its subsidiary
AIRS Retirement Properties, LI,C) owns property directly across the street from the Z- 7024 -A
parcel located at NWC Chenal Valley Dr. and Rahling Road. AIRS' property is also across the
street from the Z- 6829 -A parcel located at SWC Rahling Road & Champlin Road.
Our understanding is that consideration of these rezoning requests (made by Tim Daters
of White - Daters Associates on behalf of Deltic Timber Corporation) has been deferred until the
July 6, 2006 Planning Commission Meeting. Before that meeting, ATRS has instructed us to
inform the Planning Commission that it strongly supports both of Deltic Timber's rezoning
applications.
ATRS believes the proposed rezonings are consistent with uses and the infrastructure in
the area and will benefit the orderly development of the area and, hence, the City of Little Rock.
Therefore, ATRS urges the Planning Commission to approve the rezoning applications and any
necessary related amendments which must be made to Land Use Plan.
