3 A RESOLUTION TO SET SEPTEMBER 5, 2006, AS THE DATE OF
4 HEARING ON THE PETITION TO ABANDON A PORTION OF
5 MARSHALL STREET, LOCATED BETWEEN WEST 8TH AND WEST
6 10TH STREETS, AND A PORTION OF MARYLAND AVENUE (60
7 FEET BY 300 FEET), LOCATED BETWEEN MARSHALL AND
8 BISHOP STREETS, IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR
9 OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Clerk requesting that the
12 Board of Directors vacate and abandon a portion of Marshall Street, located between
13 West 8th and West 10th Streets, and a portion of Maryland Avenue (60 feet by 300 feet),
14 located between Marshall and Bishop Streets, pursuant to its general police power
15 authority under Ark. Code Ann. §14 -54 -104, in the City of Little Rock.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The hearing on the ordinance to abandon the above - mentioned
19 right -of -way shall be held at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the City of Little
20 Rock in the Board Room of City Hall at six o'clock on the 51" day of September, 2006.
21 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in
22 the manner prescribed by law by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in
23 a newspaper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation
24 in the City of Little Rock.
