MEETING MINUTES
The City Beautiful Commission held a planned meeting at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28,
2023, at Willie L. Hinton Neighborhood Resource Center, 3805 West 12th Street. Simultaneously
the meeting was virtually held online using the WebEx format. With Chairman Sanders-Woods
being absent, Vice-Chairman Steven Homeyer called the meeting to order.

APPROVAL OF THE AUGUST MEETING MINUTES:
Roll call showed six (6) commissioners present. Having a quorum, Vice-Chairman Homeyer called
the meeting to order, and asked for approval of the previous meeting minutes.
Motion: A motion was made that the August 24, 2023, minutes be approved.
Second: The motion was seconded, and it passed unanimously.

Upcoming cleanup schedule coming up will be October 21, and November 18. The meeting place
will be the Regions Bank parking lot at 8:00 am at Markham Street and Bowman Road.

NEW BUSINESS:
• Discussion to address Landscape Awards at the next meeting.
• Discussion to target a date for the CBC Retreat in February 2024.
• Discussion about Commission vacancies and upcoming renewals which need to be addressed.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The next Commission meeting will be September 28, 2023.

Vice-Chairman Homeyer entertained a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Motion: A motion was made for the meeting to adjourn.
Second: The motion was seconded, and it passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:27 pm.
