WHEREAS, after review of the existing neighborhood condition, proposed future land use and likelihood of changes in use, it has been determined that single family zoning should be encouraged between 12th Street and I-630 and from Elm to Jonesboro to protect the integrity of the neighborhood, encourage reinvestment and address the existing conditions; and, WHEREAS, on May 4, 1993 the City of Little Rock Board of Directors did approve reclassification of most of the area to single family zoning; and, WHEREAS, the City staff has only now been able to contact the property owners of several properties and these owners have now given their permission to reclassify their property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. That the zone classification of the following properties be and hereby are changed from R-4 Two Family to R-3 Single Family. Z -5678-A - Described as Lot 4 and North 1/2 Lot 5 Block 1, Jansen Addition; and Lot 2 Block 3, Riffel Rhoten Subdivision to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas. (810 Elm, 4405 Maryland) Z -5679-A - Described as Lot 3 Block 5 and Lot 10 Block 2, Cunningham Addition to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas. (805 Monroe, 800 Washington) SECTION 2. That the map referred to in Section 36 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock and designated districts map be and is hereby amended to the extent and in the respects necessary to affect and designate the changes provided for in Section 1 hereof.
