01-11-95Board of Directors Room City Hall - 500 W. Markham Little Rock, Arkansas January 11, 1995 - 1:35 P.M. ,.' The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, reconvened from the January 3, 1995, regular meeting with Mayor Jim Dailey presiding. The roll was called by City Clerk Robbie Hancock, with the following Directors present: Directors Sharp, Mason, Adcock, Wilson, Hinton, Hodges, Keck, Joyce and Wyrick - total 9; Absent - None; Position 6 - Vacant - total 1. With a quorum being present, Mayor Dailey declared the Board of Directors in session and announced the purpose of the reconvened meeting was to select a Vice Mayor. Director Sharp recommended postponing the election of a Vice Mayor until the Position 6 vacancy is filled in early February. City Attorney Tom Carpenter advised the Board that the State Statute says it is to be done at the organizational meeting. The Board of Directors then recessed to Executive Session at 1:38 o'clock P.M. for the purpose of appointing a Vice Mayor. When the Board of Directors reconvened at 1:48 o'clock P.M. Mayor Dailey and nine Directors were present, with Position 6 being vacant. There was a motion by Director Keck that Director Joan Adcock serve as Vice Mayor for a two year term expiring December — 31, 1996. The motion was seconded by Director Mason and unanimously adopted by the Board of Directors. There being reconvened meeting 1:50 o'clock P.M., regular session on P.M.
