1. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A PRIME COAT AND TACK COAT TO FACE OF CURB WHERE CURB
CONTACTS ASPHALT.
2. ALL MATERIALS SPECIFIED AND NECESSARY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PAVEMENT SHALL MEET THE
REQUIREMENTS OF THE AHTD STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIFICALLY SECTION 407 FOR ASPHALT
SURFACE COURSE, SECTION 303 FOR BASE MATERIAL, AND SECTION 501 FOR CONCRETE PAVEMENT.
3. SUBGRADES MUST BE PROOFROLLED BY OVERLAPPING PASSES WITH A RUBBER -TIRED
CONSTRUCTION VEHICLE WEIGHING AT LEAST 25 TONS, SUCH AS A LOADED SCRAPER OR
TANDEM -AXLE DUMP TRUCK. ANY SOFT OR UNSTABLE AREAS IDENTIFIED DURING PROOFROLLING
SHOULD BE OVEREXCAVATED AND REPLACED NTH NEW ENGINEERED FILL, IF THEY CANNOT BE
EFFECTIVELY STABILIZED IN-PLACE. A MINIMUM OF 18" OF SELECT ENGINEERED FILL IS REQUIRED
UNDER PAVED AREAS.
4. EDGES OF EXISTING PAVEMENT SHOULD BE CUT CLEAN WHERE NEW PAVMENT ABUTS.
5. ALL EXISTING PAVEMENT IS TO BE OVERLAYED, EXCEPT FOR THE CONCRETE ADA STALLS
