Windham Address: 5800 Frozen Road Description: Long Legal Zoned: "I-2" Light Industrial Variance Requested: Relief from Section 7-104.2 to permit a 10' side yard on the east side for a warehouse addition Present Use of Property: Industrial Proposed Use of Property: Same STAFF RECOMMENDATION: The proposal is to construct an addition onto the easterly front portion of the existing warehouse building. The proposed addition will project forward approximately 80' paralleling the east property line and the fence now in place. When the original building was constructed, the Zoning Ordinance did not require any side yard setbacks in this district. The proposed development does not increase the nonconformity imposed by the present ordinance. Therefore, Staff favors the requested variance. Staff recommends approval. BOARD ACTION: The applicant was present, and there were no objectors. The applicant stated that this was going to be a refrigerated warehouse addition, and that its addition was dictated by existing circumstances. After a brief discussion, the Board moved to approve the application as filed, and the motion was passed: 7 ayes and 0 noes.
