Staff Recommendation:
No adverse comments have been received from any reviewing
agency. The applicant proposes to add to an existing
carport in linear fashion so as to provide covered parking
for two vehicles. The proposed structure is a freestanding
carport which will be 10.5 feet wide and 40 feet long when
combined with the existing carport.
Three waivers are sought. An accessory structure in a
residential zone is required by Ordinance to be 60 feet from
the front Property line, six feet from the principle
structure and three feet from the side property line. The
variances sought would allow this structure to be 53 feet
from the front line, one foot from the house and two feet
from the side line.
qn-site inspection shows no interference with the
neighboring property, and staff recommends approval.
Board Action:
The applicant .failed to appear for the meeting, and the
matter was deferred to the October 19 Board of Adjustment
meeting. The motion to defer was passed: 5 ayes, 0 noes
and 2 absent.
