3 A RESOLUTION TO DIRECT THAT FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND
4 DOLLARS ($500,000.00) BE SET ASIDE IN THE 2023 ANNUAL CITY
5 BUDGET TO ASSIST THE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM OF THE LITTLE
6 ROCK DOWNTOWN PARTNERSHIP; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS,the Little Rock City Board of Directors will soon adopt a Budget for 2023; and,
9 WHEREAS, the Ambassador Program of the Downtown Partnership provides recognizable
10 individuals seven(7)days a week to walk people to their cars, give directions,work closely with the Little
11 Rock Police Department,and to perform certain tasks such graffiti and trash removal; and,
12 WHEREAS,such a program is essential to help revitalize the Downtown Area.
13 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
14 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. The Board of Directors specifies that the amount of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
16 ($500,000.00)be set aside in the 2023 City Budget to be used for,and directed to,the Ambassador Program
17 of the Little Rock Downtown Partnership.
18 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
19 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
20 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
21 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
22 resolution.
23 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent with
24 the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
