3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SMART AUTOMOTIVE GROUP, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY-THREE
6 THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($433,500.00), PLUS
7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF
8 SEVENTEEN (17) FORD MAVERICK AWD PICK-UP TRUCKS FOR
9 VARIOUS CITY DEPARTMENTS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, various City Departments have a need to replace vehicles with high mileage and
12 maintenance costs; and,
13 WHEREAS,the City is able to make a cooperative purchase of seventeen(17)Ford Maverick AWD
14 Pick-Up Trucks from Smart Automotive Group through the 2023 State Vehicle Contract(Item 7); and,
15 WHEREAS, the City can purchase the seventeen (17) Pick-Up Trucks at an amount not to exceed
16 Four Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand,Five Hundred Dollars($433,500.00),plus applicable taxes and fees.
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Smart Automotive Group
20 in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($433,500.00),
21 plus applicable taxes and fees, for the purchase of seventeen (17) Ford Maverick AWD Pick-Up Trucks
22 from Smart Automotive Group through the 2023 State Vehicle Contract(Item 7).
23 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available in the 2022 Fleet Replacement Fund Account No.
24 108609-72300-S60C346.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
