15795 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,795 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A TOWING SERVICE CONTRACT WITH EACH COMPANY THAT 5 RESPONDED SUCCESSFULLY TO THE CITY'S REQUEST FOR 6 QUALIFICATIONS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS,the City has elected to use a rotation basis for the Contract Wrecker Service; and, 9 WHEREAS, after a competitive selective process, five (5) companies have been deemed to be 10 responsible and responsive bidders. 11 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 12 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 13 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into Towing Service Contracts with: 14 A. Asher Wrecker Service, Inc.; 15 B. Adams Towing, Inc.; 16 C. Metro Towing& Recovery,LLC; 17 D. East End Towing, Inc.; and, 18 E. Pinnacle Towing&Recovery Inc. 19 Section 2.The term of these towing service contracts shall be from 12:01 AM,October 1,2022,through 20 September 30, 2023. If the City and all contract wrecker companies agree, the term may be renewed two 21 (2)times in one (1)-year increments by a fully—executed addendum to each Towing Service Contract no 22 less than ninety(90)calendar days prior to the expiration of the then-current term. 23 Section 3. The terms and conditions of these towing service contracts shall be consistent with the 24 Request for Qualification(RFQ)specifications,and the agreements shall be in a form acceptable to the City 25 Attorney in order to ensure that the City's interests are met. 26 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 5. Repealer.
