3 A RESOLUTION TO CHANGE THE NAME OF SOUTH PARK STREET,
4 LOCATED BETWEEN WEST DAISY L. GATSON BATES DRIVE AND
5 WEST 16TH STREET (G-25-230), TO LITTLE ROCK NINE WAY; AND
6 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, pursuant to Little Rock, Ark., Rev. Code §31-324 (1988), the City of Little Rock, has
9 filed a petition to change the name of South Park Street, located between West Daisy L.Gatson Bates Drive
10 and West 16t Street,to Little Rock Nine Way; and,
11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission, at its September 8, 2022, meeting, voted to
12 recommend approval of the proposed street name change with a vote of 8.ayes, 0 nays, 2 absent and 1
13 open position.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS.
16 Section 1. The name of South Park Street, located between West Daisy L. Gatson Bates Drive and
17 West 16th Street, is hereby changed to Little Rock Nine Way.
18 Section 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and the City
19 Manager is hereby directed to notify all Departments of said change.
20 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
21 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
22 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
23 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
24 resolution.
25 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
26 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
