3 A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT A SUCCESSORY COMMISSIONER TO FILL A
4 VACANCY ON THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE RIVERDALE
5 LEVEE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 134 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
6 ROCK,ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS,The Board of Commissioners of the Riverdale Levee Improvement District No. 134 of
9 Little Rock,Arkansas, has advised the City that a vacancy exists on the Board of Commissioners arising
10 from the resignation of Jack East; and,
11 WHEREAS, said Board of Commissioners has recommended the appointment of Tom Staley, a
12 property owner in the District,to fill the vacancy.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
14 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. Tom Staley is hereby appointed a Commissioner of Riverdale Levee Improvement
16 District No. 134 pursuant to authority granted in Ark. Code Ann. 14-184-111.
17 Section 2. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be
18 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of
19 this resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged
20 invalid or unconstitutional,was not originally a part of the resolution.
21 Section 3. Repealer. All laws ordinances resolutions or parts of the same that are inconsistent with
22 the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
